Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chill Pill isn't ever called by his full name. He usually goes by Chill. Chill is often found freezing ponds with his icy breath and letting hatchlings play on the safe, secure ice. He warns them not to jump, because, as a hatchling, he nearly killed his friend Nebula Skyblaze by nearly freezing her in a cold pond. He tries not to talk of the moment, but it always hovers in his mind, waiting for him to give into his anger and argue with himself. Chill is also seen looking for answers about a mysterious team of evil dragons, those that the humans know as Shadow Walkers, that have haunted the Storm Pack ever since Halloween Night.
