Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Primavero Bloom is a young Spring dragon. He is an expert gardener, and grows all kinds of things in his garden outside his clan's cave. He grows all kinds of fruit, vegetables, berries, and lots of other fresh produce for his clan in the spring and summer. Palmer the sentient Leetle Tree is his best friend, whom he spends a lot of time talking to. Like Colby Asiago, he is also a pretty good chef. His specialty dish is vegetable stew, which all of the dragons love on cold winter nights. He is kind of shy, isn't a huge talker, is rather solitary, and is usually found alone in his garden. This worries Izar a little, and he will often go out to hang out with him. His mate, Jasmine Primrose, is a very bold and outgoing Spring, who is constantly trying to bring him out of his shell, which almost never works.
