Spinel Wyverns are small, sleek dragons that zealously collect spinel gemstones to line their nests. They are very affectionate with those they bond with, and will happily spend hours grooming a dragon of a different species if allowed to. Spinels are well-known for their even temperament, but when offended, they are very slow to forgive and will never forget. These wyverns will readily perform tasks in exchange for spinels, and occasionally other stones. Occasionally, they can be born with iridescent pale green scales instead of the usual rich red-violet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cielosa flies far ahead of her group of traveling Vampire Hunters, whose sole purpose is to seek out and kill Bitten eggs and any Vampire dragon they can. Along with, Skywing Dragon, Nikef they seek out the path ahead of them either on quick wings. Cielosa is the slightly more distractable of the two, whose love of rare stones can cause her to go on detours rather than returning back to alert the group of oncoming dangers.

Although a little ditzy, she loves speaking with humans and trading with them for spinel gems that she cannot take with her due to being nomadic and without a nest. Tizzybeetle is a little fed up with her, as Cielosa goes on great lengths to fulfil her end of a bargain she doesn't gain from. Still, it's hard to stay mad at the good-natured Spinel dragon for long, as fulfilling her word is in her blood, she easily makes it up to the team by going an extra mile on a hunt or leaping into action by taking eggs out of harm's way or calling for back up when in a crisis.
