Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to sleep during the day and glow when it wakes up at night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Halfmoon has dreams and has always had them even when she was still in her egg. A voice calling herself Inv'Au spoke to Halfmoon in her dreams and told her that she would be the one to unite the Priestesses of the Silver Moon and the Brothers of the Blood Moon once again. Inv'Au told her to seek out the counsel of Golden Moon as well as the friendship of Endymion and Selene so they could help her achieve her goal.

Maybe these dreams are visions, maybe she just has a very vivid fantasy, or maybe she's completely mad; Halfmoon doesn't care. She has long since decided that letting once life be guided by the voices only oneself can hear was a surefire way to insanity. The little hatchling therefore ignores her dreams and lives her own life.
