Candelabra Dragons are a spectacular sight against the dark midnight sky. The glowing orbs that decorate their golden wings can be seen from far away and give them the unparalleled brilliance they are recognizable for. Proudly earnest, Candelabra Dragons will often go to extreme lengths to protect those close to them, even giving their lives to rescue a loved one from peril. However, they do not take lightly the breaking of a promise, and have been known to unleash a furious wrath when betrayed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wispy Wing was once the dragon companion of a man who had aspirations to train the strongest dragons. As a Candelabra Dragon, Wispy Wing was endlessly loyal to his master and did everything he was told to do without question. Unfortunately, the man eventually became dissatisfied with Wispy due to his simple minded and often gullible nature. One day, the man sent Wispy to fetch some food for dinner. The moment Wispy was out of sight, the man promptly left the area with no intention of ever returning. Humans in the nearby village were outraged by the man's actions and collectively decided to allow Wispy Wing to remain in the village with them. Wispy accepted the invitation, but refused to believe their story about his human master's betrayal. While Wispy Wing continued to reside in the village, he remained sure that his human master would come back for him one day.
