Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Skywing dragons are considered by many to be the masters of the sky as they elegantly dart across the heavens. Unfortunately, Takayoshi is unable to join his fellow skywings in their aerial adventures.

With his crippled wings, he is forced to clumsily drag himself across the earth; forever denied the joy of flight. Born malformed, no white dragon or human healer can rectify nature's cruelty and allow him passage into the skies.

Bitter and resentful of his disability, Takayoshi shuns the company of most of the members of his family, friends only with the mint dragons and a few humans, as they also have been deprived the ability to fly.

His mother Aegis mourns for the life her son has been bestowed and does everything she can to ensure his happiness and show him that he can find pleasure in life regardless of the disability he suffers.
