Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It spends its time pouncing on insects.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Arrowhead loves to spend time with his best friend Dot, the only other Stripe hatchling who is not eager to have their patterns finally grow in. Arrow fears that once he grows old enough to develop his stripes, he will grow as cowardly as the older green Stripes in the clan, utterly convinced that it's some kind of curse bound to the yellow marks. But he likes to be bold and brave and never wants to become like that. Dot might not really understand but at least she accepts his wishes and shares them (even if for very different reasons).
