Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has wings—but no hind legs—and it enjoys flying by the ocean.

And look! It has grown another set of wings. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mizu Hebifissha is an excellent fisherman. He has been able to catch the small, fleeting creatures ever since he grew his wings. He can catch enough fish to feed him for a few days in a very short time and most often shares with the other hatchlings of his colony. He isn't big enough to wrangle with fish any bigger than him, most of the ones he catches are half his size or smaller, but he will get there one day when he gets big enough.

His name means 'Water Snake Fisher'.
