Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

PB Gal loves peanut butter and jelly of any and every kind! She has traveled to distant lands at the expense of her own safety, searching for the best jelly making techniques. Once she almost died of exhaustion trying to reach the peak of a mountain where, reportedly, an ancient order of monks make succulent peanut butter and jelly cupcakes. How the monks manage to breathe in the high altitude remains a mystery, but PB Gal is convinced that the tales are true. She tried to convince a white dragon to travel with her, to minimize the risk of mortal injury to herself, but that only earned her a lecture on the value of common sense. That same white dragon also drew upon his considerable knowledge of psychology and psychiatry in an attempt to discover the cause of PB Gal's obsession, but all his efforts earned him was her insistence, "I don't have a problem! Peanut butter and jelly are the answer to all things! Peanut butter and jelly will prevail! All hail the peanut butter and jelly!"
