Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
By night, Parmek is a loyal member of the Nocturne Guards, but by day he moonlights (or perhaps that should be daylights) at a variety of jobs. One day he'll assume his fiercest pose at sunrise to serve as a scarecrow, the next day he'll pose as a garden statue, and the next he'll be found sitting on his haunches with wings and forelimbs outstretched so he can be used to dry laundry. Zytengabar would like to discharge Parmek from the Nocturne Guards, feeling that he's ruining their dignity, but Ornixa has so far managed to overrule him, recognizing that Parmek has never been late for a guard shift, has never been less than dedicated to his job, and has probably done more to make people comfortable with nocturnes through his daytime job than the rest of them have managed at night.
