Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dettern, the tribe's first alt black dragon, is the son of Buggle and Cotei, two relatively normal dragons in the tribe. When he hatched, it was evident that he was different from most black hatchlings. He was smaller, much darker, and could curl up in to a tight ball, protecting himself from light attacks. When Dettern grew up, he was much larger than the other black dragons and was a more powerful fighter. This power and genetic fluke allowed him and his family to rise up in rank in the tribe. His mother, Buggle, a normal black dragon, was suddenly recognized as a fierce warrior and his father, Cotei, a geode dragon, was no longer considered just a decoration. Dettern's focus is always on his family, as it is the most important thing to him. He protects his children with gusto and is always teaching them important sparring moves.
