Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like the majority of Lloyprij citizens, Owxett celebrates Hanukah for the winter holidays. Some would expect that she would therefore be considered a "spirit of Hanukah", but she is still called a "spirit of Christmas". When confused travelers ask, she compares it to her friend Off-brand Shadow Walker, who is often called a celestial despite his being a cheap version of a Halloween dragon.

There are actually two times of year when Owxett comes to Lloyprij from her off-season hiding: Hanukah and ANZAC Day. Nobody knows what on Valkemare she might be celebrating in the middle of April, but evidently it is a very important holiday. The people of Lloyprij happily celebrate it, more because they love their local snow angel than because they understand what they're celebrating.
