Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to enjoy sunbathing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Hardest Hue to Hold is an intelligent, naturally calm, quietly confident hatchling... whose ancestry has given him an inflated sense of self-worth. He considers himself to be like nobility. Luckily for those around him, though, Hue feels that to be noble is to hold his head high and let his "good breeding" speak for itself; he'd find bragging or denigrating others for having less impressive ancestries to be absolutely appalling.

Hue has made an effort to educate himself as a part of "being noble". He means well and tries to educate others when they seem to know less -- not realizing (as he goes into excessive detail) that not everyone wants to know about everything!

Hue also has a great fondness for poetry, and despite being friendly most of the time, he only likes his friend Nothing Gold by his side when he writes his own. Everyone else is used to his peculiarities; they don't take offense when he asks others to leave him be for a while but adds that "Nothing Gold can stay."
