Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Sir Robin (also known as The Brave) has some very strange ideas. He tells tales of fearsome beasts known as "moderators" that stalk the woods at night, crushing the dreams of young dragons that think they are clever and funny. He says that these "moderators" do this because they are driven by a blind rage caused by the fact that they have lost the ability to distinguish between parody and art theft. Sir Robin has taken it upon himself to exact revenge on these heinous (although fictional) hell-fiends and will stop at nothing to passive-aggressively make them pay for the unjust deeds they did to him in ages past.
