Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

RhosynBryd means "RoseHeart." She is the delicate color of coral and shell and the sky on a winter morning, and her wings have the luster of pearl. Her eyes are the deep red of hearts' blood. This rose is not without thorns, however. She is capable of great passion and compassion, but is inclined to be fickle and ferocious. RhosynBryd is also somewhat timid in matters of the heart. She longs to find her soul-mate but is content to tease and torment her male acquaintances in the meantime. RhosynBryd is beautiful and she knows it; this has led her to be somewhat vain. She has great courage in the face of danger, especially when she has something to protect, and a fiercely maternal streak. In the end, she is simply a creature resigned to waiting for her lifemate, through as many centuries and hardships as it may take--because she is well aware that it is worth it.
