Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Guided by a distant star that Aquova loved, for it was made on the day her former mate died, she came upon a town of ash, the legendary town of what used to be Orin. The former city had well been rumored that an Ember Dragon burned it to the ground and then lived there. Upon meeting the dragon, they both at first hated each other. Over time though she began to win the Ember Dragon over with kindness. In fact, they fell in love, and for once another dragon was allowed into the Ashtrodamus's territory. After many days and many moons of trying to get him to leave. Ash and Aquova both walked off into the distance happily ever after, their tails intertwined. Every day they play together and wherever they go. They always seem to follow their hearts and the stars.
