Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don’t grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Winded Breath, despite her small stature is a great hunter. She brings in more rabbits and large birds then some of her adult companions. Frozen by choice she is extremely happy except on one point. She fell in love with Unadulterated Anger as soon as she came out of her shell. Upon learning that he would never grow she pleaded such an eloquent case to the scroll holder and convinced her that she would never want children of her own that she was frozen.
