Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mallymkun Dormouse is a fiery young dragon, temperamental and unusually sane for her circle of friends. She's not afraid to speak her mind and shares her opinions with the entire world, though she tends to keep her emotions hidden, secreted away. Mallymkun is quite a good battler, even though battles never do arise in the clan's cave; since she's never given the opportunity to put her skills towards a cause, she usually settles for demonstrating attacks and tricks in front of her friends. She's especially close to The Hatter, since she finds his mad rambling to be charming.
