Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rivver was once owned by a human and kept in a small ornamental pond. This has stunted her growth, and she is roughly the size of a large dog. This may look large for a hatchling, but Rivver is actually full grown. One day, after torrential rainfall and mass flooding, Rivvers small pond overflowed. <br/>After making her way to a river-system, Rivver found that freedom wasn't all she had dreamed of. Because of her small size, there were many river creatures willing to take a bite out of the vulnerable dragon. She gained many scars over the first few weeks, but her luck held and she survived. <br/>She has now found a secluded lake, free from predators, to inhabit.
