Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Snow Flury, like his brother ShardFang has the ability to beautifully carve ice that has been enchanted to never melt. He is more mildly mannered than his slightly aggressive brother ShardFang, and therefore does not have any ice fangs. But even though he is gentle now, long ago, he was a force to be reckoned with. He was a fierce warrior of the ice, and was merciless, but this was not natural. His breed is one of the few that enjoy the cold, and they were fighting for their home. As a hatchling, he was as gentle as he was now, and wouldn't dare fight. He trained well, but could never pull himself to use his new skills against one. So, an old mage dragon put a spell on him that was only supposed to make him fight, but it when awry. She mispronounced the spell, and summoned the long dead Natilla the Han, who spirit possessed Snow Flury, and caused him to kill without mercy.After the war finally ended, the spell was broken and he vowed never to fight again.
