Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Slumbers really wishes she were a daydream dragon. She'd love to go around helping dragons and people to dream. She'd especially like to help the dragons dream of a place named Herktopia, a land where all dragons are honourable citizens and every dragon is welcome. She'd never leave Lagie's cave, of course, the brownies are far too tasty! But she's sure Herktopia must be an amazing place for a dream.

Since she can't actually help the other dragons dream about Herktopia, Slumbers does the next best thing and offers herself as a pillow so they can sleep better. She's pretty good at it, and her hide is softer than one might expect. That must be her mother's pillow dragon genes showing through. Sleep well!
