White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Of all the white dragons in the cave, Daniel Cooper has achieved the greatest mastery of his healing powers. He is the first on the scene when another dragon is wounded and needs attention. He is wise and thoughtful, though he has a humorous side to him as well. He enjoys playing with the hatchlings and caring for them. When he was younger he and Nathaniel Lawrence were the best of friends, but drifted apart as their views changed, and due to the fact they both were attracted to the beautiful Catherine who chose Nathaniel as her mate. This left Daniel bitter and resentful for the longest while. That is until he found a young, dying Steven Cooper, took him under his wing and began training him to be a much more proficient healer.
