Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Up until recently the Gray Dragons have been sole masters of the storms but lately Conn, from her home perched on the edge of the ocean, has seen her dominion over the weather seriously challenged by an unseen foe. She suspects it has something to do with the trails she sees crisscrossing the sky in ever greater numbers. Conn suspects that whoever is making the trails is somehow responsible but, as of yet, has no proof. The storms are monstrously huge, more violent than anything she has ever seen and occurring with much more frequency. Conn knows that it's of the utmost importance to identify and rid the skies of this challenger and reestablish her dominion over the storms, restoring order to her world. She is, as always, ready for a fight but knows she can't do it alone.
