Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Folklore tells that if you find many rocks in a field, there is probably a 'mother rock' somewhere near by that is the source. Such a description fits Melilite very well.

She spends most of her days in boulder-like slumber, moving so rarely that moss has grown on her in places, earning her the nickname 'moss-belly'. Hatchlings of other breeds even tend to use her as a sunning rock. Several of her own children surround her... if one were to stub a toe against a large stone in her presence, a glance would likely reveal it as one of her sleeping hatchlings.

Melilite's offspring, regardless of breed, tend to relish their sleep. While seemingly inactive, they have a very active dream life... possibly even receiving visions of faraway places or insights into the past and future from dreams.
