Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s clear that night is its favourite time.

And look! It has grown wings and turned red on its back! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Satty is completely in love with the smaller of the two moons dominating the night sky. It might be smaller and give off a weaker light than its bigger counterpart, but the light is so wonderfully dark red that it makes her spots look all the more bloody. Her favourite nights are the ones, when the big lump of blue-green is in its new moon phase and only her preferred moon can be seen. She hasn't lived long enough to remember a conjuncture of such a night with a full moon of "her" lunar patron but has listened closely when an older dragon recalled such an occurrence from his own hatchling years. Satty knows she just has to be patient and she will know that bliss as well.
