Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s brightly colored and chirps quite often.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Magick Rose is a beautiful and bright pink dragon, so enjoyed being a young dragon. She enjoyed playing with her peers, and exploring the world as it was always new. One day as she was playing with her friends and she looked over the valley and saw how beautiful it was, and how much there was to explore. She closed her eyes and wished that she would always stay young at heart so that she would never lose this feeling that she had while looking over everything. To her surprise someone or something heard her wish for not only did she stay young at heart, but she stayed young! Happy and joyful she would always make those around her happy too.
