Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Around her wide supple neck glitters the cultural pendant of the warden caste. It is a thick iron hoop decorated with feathers and unrefined chunks of ancient crystal. The legacy can only be fitted to a young dragon after the old warden has died.

She could be any earth dragon. Lush wings as green as oak leaves in the summer. Some of her scales are dulled by time. Eyes as red as fiery desert sunrise.

She rests in front of a stone wall entrance summoned by old ritual magic. Beyond, over the crest of a small hill, abandoned hatchlings frolic freely and eternally in the rich temperate savanna.

Eggs in hatch rest by trees. Long grass covers old shells. Squeals of juveniles echo in the distance.

Human corpses lay shattered in plain view outside the walls, as a warning. Abandoned eggs, denied the birthright of a dragon family, cast away by cruel breeders and thieves, and then ignored by dragon mothers, can grow and thrive in this very special sanctuary past the alpha Warden.
