Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chaos Lover is an eccentric Swallowtail who just loves drama. He used to act in small plays when he was young and traveling, playing the role of dramatic villains. When Chaos decided that he had to find a mate and a family, he came upon a large group of Swallowtails. He couldn't enter, however, when the guard accused him of a messy lineage and told him that there were not enough females.

Saddened, Chaos couldn't bring himself to leave the area and struck a deal with two smaller Swallowtails who where in the area. He said that he'd help keep them alive if they get him into the group. While sneaking past the guard is out of the question and Chaos will never get into the group, he has found that he is quite content where he is right now.

Both of the Swallowtails have entranced him, reminding the former actor of the plays of romance that he once played in. Deciding to say nothing, the Swallowtail continues to be part of the group, planning the time when he finally gets a happy ending.
