Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The sister of Prickly fog, she had almost the same problem, only her story is a lot more of a mistake than a twist of fate. When Yellow mist was born, her family loved her so much they felt it necessary to watch over her at all times so the same thing would not befall her. Her parents never discussed why she couldn't be like the other hatchlings. They just told her she had to stay in the cave at all times. She listened till one of the more mischievous hatchlings came over and convinced her to go out. They came across a strange dragon in the wild forest; he was red, white and brown. Since they were just hatchlings they had no idea how dangerous it could be to go into the forest let alone how dangerous this particular type of dragon is. They looked at the big dragon and thought he looked cool so they went up closer. Yellowmist was starting to get a bad feeling about this. Then the dragon turned and she found out why.
