Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

And look! Its wings have grown large enough that it can now fly. It hardly ever leaves the air now.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Laurel of Compassion—Laurels for short—can be found helping out her older sister, Virtue of Compassion, at the latter's tasks. She fetches and carries tirelessly, tries to order the many dragons who come to her sister for help, and in general works ceaselessly to make the works of Compassion flow easily.

She also has the role of making sure her older sister doesn't wear herself—or Laurels—out. Since their work is never-ending, it is often Laurels who must remind a tired Virtue that it is time to sleep, or who must bring a forgotten, cooling dinner so that both may eat. Laurels does not resent her position, but is unflinching when she must say, "Enough."
