Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The other dragons were bewildered when Loves egg randomly appeared in the cave one winters morning. Out hatched a beautiful female hatchling of which the likes they had never seen before, or ever saw again. She is a quiet and mysterious dragoness, but she is incredibly intelligent. Because of her beauty, the other dragons were surprised when she chose to become the life mate of the mint clan leader, Athia. She is very faithful, and she never leaves his side. When the gold dragon, Eden, raided the cave and nearly killed the clan leader, he claimed Love as his own mate. However she remained loyal, and never gave Eden the offspring he desired. While she is kept in exile and not allowed to see Athia, she is helping to plot Edens downfall. Love has a wicked temper when angered, and she is not about to allow Eden to destroy the clan she helped create.
