Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
Magma dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.
This always-eager female is always quick to apprehend evil wherever it may appear, taking on robbers and pickpockets with as much gusto as if she were taking on an army of savage demons. Perhaps this enthusiasm is due to the fact that there aren't much of the latter sort of foe in the peaceful little country in which she lives, leaving her to take out her need for justice at full-force on the petty bad guys.
