Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon, an offset member of the Genesis Clan, has been called a liar and a disgrace by many in the clan. A legend has circled his brother, Isaac Genesis, that Isaac was spared by the Storm God when he was a hatchling. This dragon, Ishmael Genesis, insists that it was not Isaac who was nearly sacrificed but Ishmael. The Clan was split between believing Isaac's story and Ishmael's story, and as a result, many in the Genesis clan departed with Ishmael Genesis to begin their own clan. Ishmael lives with the constant reminder of nearly being sacrificed by his father and being rejected by his own people.

Many dragons in the Genesis Clan tend to reject others with separate beliefs, but this dragon accepts new dragons into his new clan frequently and has even taken a wife with separate beliefs from his own. Ishmael is a benevolent dragon who enjoys wind storms and hail.
