Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nepid the Intrepid is a brave and adventurous dragon. Nepid is the name he was born with, but he earned the title of Intrepid. He fights for what is true and right. He is something of a gossip, prying into other dragon's affairs and spreading word about whatever wrongdoings they may have committed. He is working to expose a plot by some dark green dragons that want to rule the dragon world, who have deceived many of his own black kin. He will neither confirm nor deny whether he has a vine spy in the enemy camp who gathers information for him. Some dragons object to his rumor-spreading, but Nepid the Intrepid fearlessly faces off such secretive concealers of truth. However, he rarely admits his own mistakes. Though his methods may be questionable, his intentions are good and honorable.
