Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The second of the Knights of Creation, Eques Solem is Eques Lux's hot-headed second-in-command. Unlike Lux, Solem is very violent and often abusive, causing him to get in many fights with the more violent inhabitants of the cave like the Hellfire Wyverns. He bears many, many scars from battle, and has been brought back to life twice, once after being killed in a Lagamonster attack and once after a fierce battle with the king of the Grave Dragons. He has a strong sense of justice, and cannot stand to see others in pain. Unlike Eques Lux, Eques Solem took a wife by the name of Aura Fortunus, whom he died protecting from the Grave Dragons. Because they killed him once, Eques Solem has a deep hatred for Halloween Dragons, and always suspects them of crimes. It is said that his fire is dark purple, the color of royalty.
