Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Should one be seeking a strange Black Dragon, all they have to do is search for and find Nightmares Death; a task that is not actually very difficult. While she was an ebony beauty in her youth, Nightmares Death has grown fat and lazy over the years she has lived, and is now usually found lazing away with the hatchlings. Now little more then a glorified Mint dragon, (as she is far too heavy to fly any more then a leaps distance away from the cave), Nightmares Death has become a wonderful Hatchling babysitter. Though fat and lazy, the younglings have learned to respect and obey her, as she is the one who drives away their fears whenever they have a nightmare.
