Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Elgna ed Neidrag, called Elgna, is the protector of a human village. Or, at least, the humans think she is. When she was holding her only egg under her paw as the sun came up, she froze as normal. Except when she woke up, her egg was gone. In her fury she flew off to find the culprit, but instead found a Summer dragon about to eat a group of humans. Elgna personally doesn't like humans, as they are inferior, so she didn't care that the dragon was about to eat humans. What mattered was that he was in her way, and she promptly battered the dragon until he was near death. The dragon, surprised by her attack, flew off and the humans declared her guardian and gave her several cattle. Elgna was still upset about the loss of her egg, but she decided to watch over the humans since it seemed to be a fun prospect—not to mention, free food. She mainly protects the village because she has grown fond of some of the lesser beings and enjoys watching them go about their dismal lives.
