Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

HappyGoLuckie was the very first dragon to join Shade1193's horde. She was found in the cave. She was rather lonely as a hatchling because she was the only dragon, but that only helped her be one of the most social dragons in the horde. She loves to sit and talk with the others, and never misses a chance to visit the nursery and make sure all the hatchlings are happy. The worst job for her is hunting, because she usually goes alone and can't talk to anyone. However, she is usually the first one done. Normally she is assigned to forage rather than hunt, which is fine by her because she can talk with others while she does that.
