Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ace Of Hearts' egg was found by Xeelos by the creek. She tracked the parents down so she could return it to them. She found the mother growling about how she hadn't meant to lose his egg, but had planned on getting rid of his sibling instead. She then kicked her other egg out of the nest. Xeelos, enraged by seeing this, took the egg back to be raised in her clan. She gave him his title to give a somewhat honor to his parents. Despite this, he prefers to be called by his self-given nickname 'Acein'.  He's a bit shy towards others, except when he's with his best friend Sirien, the two are almost inseparable. He likes to help Sirien by gathering herbs for healing and moving the injured dragons to the medicine room. He sometimes wonders who his real parents are, but somehow has a feeling that he doesn't really want to find out.
