Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Blindschleiche loves to pretend that he is a dangerous, venomous monster. He often slithers around the human villages and hisses at the naked mammals from the underbrush scaring the daylights out of them. The humans of course know that he's just a harmless hatchling and only play along to make the young one happy.
