Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.
It's gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Waishou's name means "diminutive," and is a nod to his small stature. The son of Reyna and Guzu, he has inherited a touch of his dam's anxiety and also his sire's love of the rain. In spite of being something of a pacifist, Waishou is one of the only mints who regularly leaves the cave. He and his adopted sister Nomyr like to wander the area nearby, often in the company of other hatchlings. This bothers their worry-wart mother to no end, but the mint pair cannot squelch their curiosity about the world around them. Waishou has a carefully-concealed affection for the red hatchling Calcifurr. He likes her because she is confident, strong and bold (everything that he is not).
