Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Hatchlings spend a relatively long period of time as hatchlings, from 100 to 200 years, before they mature. Adolescence is usually marked by a hatchling's wings growing in, but not all breeds of dragons grow wings. Baby dragons all look very similar, but once they hit adolescence, they change very fast, they mature to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Stone dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

In the Swedish alps, there has been an alarming increase of rockslides. Locals are blaming it on a stone dragon that they call Stoneflight, the dragon that cannot fly. They say Stoneflight pushes the rocks down from his lair, high up in the alps. Search parties were issued, but unfortunately quickly turned back from immediate rockslides. Helicopters have tried to search for the dragon, but it is allegedly camouflaged so well, one with perfect eyesight couldn't see it from one hundred feet away. In the most recent sighting, Stoneflight was spotted with a golden dragon, who's presence was strong enough to make the bravest man cower.
