As a chick, Spacebar spent too much time listening to garbled tales of ancestors who came from a different world. One night, frightened awake by a dragon flying overhead, she happened to look at the sky, and was stunned by the multitudes of scattered lights spangled across the darkness. Fascinated, she quickly concluded that the lights were the fires and lamps of great cities on an upside-down world stretched above their own. In order to better map that world, Spacebar befriended a group of Coastal Waverunners, who brought her out to a long, low island where she spends her days sleeping and her nights scratching star maps on the sand.
