Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.
It's gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Roy Cohn is the only son of Vaccine who remains in the cave.  He is particularly shy and scared, even for a Mint, because his father's mates are so fierce.  He is even scared of his mother, a Silver dragon, even though she never did anything to hurt him.  Some of the other female dragons are jealous of Roy's mother, and try to take it out on him.  Roy has just taken to avoiding the other dragons at all costs.
