Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

.    There is, it has been said, a collection of draconic dreams and visions that floats in the ether of the Dragon Cave. Some dragons have come to revere that essence as a guardian life force, and formed a clan of like-minded individuals, the Clan of the Dreamers. Those who follow have all taken "Dreams" as their surname in honor of those beliefs.

     Rei Dreams is the unofficial Patriarch of the clan. From the moment he was coaxed from his egg, he has preferred to spend his time meditating or sleeping to connect with the life-force of the cave. His position as Patriarch is not due to his success though meditation, however; he is simply the Matriarch's chosen mate and father of her heirs.
