Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
White dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can't bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.
'Adorna' means 'adorned with jewels'. 'Peregrine' means 'Wanderer'. It is generally used by dragons that want to forget their own past.
The Dark Sun guild is a criminal dragon group. Most of its members are mix-blooded, though there are some cave-borns that join the guild for their own reasons. Adorna is one of them.
She has once lived in the Black Sheep Palace as the Great Priestess Sapiens Adorna. One day, the Sapiens sacrificed her for their own selfish sake, using her blood to complete a powerful ritual. Adorna should have died, but as she was thrown out of the Palace, she crashed into a group of Dark Sun dragons passing by. Her blood accidentally mixed with some of them, which had saved her from death.
Most of Adorna's magic has been lost, but the guild still keeps her because of her knowledge. Adorna changes her family name into Peregrine cut off all ties with the Sapiens. Gradually, because of her wisdom and gentleness, she becomes the unofficial fifth leader of the guild.
