Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Oremm is one of only founding members of the Felstone Dragonflight still living in the Cave. Together with Oremma and Powdre, they bonded together at first for safety and stayed together as close companions. Oremm vaguely remembers a time of feeling safe and loved between the talons of his dam, as well as a time of rending teeth, great pain and fear as he was driven away from her. He was found by Powdre and Oremm in a fierce storm, and they huddled together in an ancient cave that grew to be their home and sanctuary. Oremm is often snappish and foul-tempered around other dragons, especially older males who elicit memories of anguish and loss. He is also gaining a reputation as a heart-breaker, for his silvery scales and aloof nature are irresistible to the females. His past prevents him from bonding to any of them for more than brief liaisons.
