Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Even though his fathers, Domi and Kiromi, told him to not go outside the cave, Niromi did. It was cold and sleeting outside. He tried to go back to the cave, but he was scared and confused, and his growls weren't loud enough to be heard. Greesak, the grey dragon, went outside, trying to find the dragon that could have caused such a storm. No one was there, all he found was Niromi, frozen, just few metres away from the cave entrance. Greesak made the storm stop, so Fluna, the human who was taking care of them could go get Niromi and bring him inside.

Minutes later, Niromi's ice started to melt, and an hour later he was alive and trembling. Sadly, Fluna, went to notify Domi and Kiromi how his son was injured... he got his system frozen, so he would never reach adulthood.

Now, Niromi seems happy but really isn't. He always tries to be around Liromi, a mint female, daydreaming, wishing to change his past so he could live with her and be her mate.
