Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Nenna Sunrise is the daughter of the gold dragon Gorim Sunrise and Vulkana May, a red dragon that Gorim managed to charm on one of his so called little adventures. Nenna was quickly abandoned by her mother out of shame and would have died if Gorims mother Siharra did not discover the little dragon girl in a nearby cave, abandoned, alone and scared. Now Siharra is an extremely vain dragon, but although she rarely cared for the 'mistakes' her son made she felt different this time and took the little Nenna under her wings. Still the harm was already done: Nenna is extremely shy and tries to avoid any contact with other dragons and is unable to see how beautiful she really is, especially because both her father and her mother care just enough to make sure the little girl does not starve to death. Nenna therefore does not really know motherly love and instead spends most of her days dreaming of a better future.
