Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

At first glance, Microbe Obliterator seems to gleam more brightly than most silver dragons. However, on closer inspection, it becomes clear that he is in fact just extremely clean. He is rather obsessive about the cleanliness of both his self and his surroundings, to the point where his fixation irritates most of the other dragons he comes in contact with. The primary exception is his mate, PR-T, who is as obsessive about the beautification of their space as he is about keeping the place spotless.
